The Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium is a compulsory visit. Situated in the harbor, near the Theatre Junction it has a large variety of fish, coral and other aquatic species collection.

Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple is the core of the capital city. This ancient temple is an abode of Lord Vishnu. But only Hindus are allowed into the temple.
