Tour Plan

Day 1 Cochin

Board your flight and arrive Cochin. On arrival, you will meet a MakeMyTrip representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Cochin. On reaching, check-in to your hotel, unpack and relax. You may explore the local markets on MG road or enjoy some local Keralan cuisine (on your own). In the evening, return to your hotel and after a warm dinner, rest overnight in your room.

Day 2 Cochin – Munnar

Meals: Breakfast After early breakfast, check-out of the hotel and proceed for a quick half day sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi. Also visit Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets. Later in the afternoon, proceed for Munnar. On the way to Munnar, halt at some good restaurant where lunch will be served. Check-in to your hotel in the evening, unpack and relax. Spend some time in the local markets for shopping and enjoy the evening at your own leisure. Return to your hotel for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3 Munnar (Local Sightseeing)

Meals: Breakfast After breakfast at the hotel, take a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Munnar is famous for its tea plantations. Visit the beautiful serenity of the tea plantations (remains closed on Mondays). Also visit Eravikulam National Park and explore its rich flora and fauna. Relish the local food at a good restaurant. Later in the afternoon, visit Mattupetty Lake and Dam. Enjoy the echo phenomenon at the famous Echo Point. Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your own leisure. Have a warm, hearty dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in your room.

Day 4 Munnar - Thekkady (110 kilometres in approximately 4 hours)

Meals: Breakfast After early breakfast, Today, leave for Thekkady. Check-in at the hotel, unpack and relax. In the evening, go for Periyar boat ride (cost not included). You can also visit the theatre and enjoy the traditional Kathakali show (in a non-air-conditioned theatre, pay directly at venue). Indulge in shopping (own expense), take a tour around the spice plantations or enjoy an elephant ride (on direct payment basis) in the evening. Return to the hotel.

Day 5 Thekkady - Alleppy

Meals: Breakfast After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel in Thekkady and go for a Spice Plantation Tour which will last for an hour. Later, you may indulge in some spice shopping (on direct payment basis). There are various kinds of spices cultivated in Thekkady. The most abundantly found spice in Thekkady is pepper. But there is a variety of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric and curry leaves on the slanting slopes of the spice plantations in Thekkady. Allepey: Although a relatively small island, Alleppey or Alappuzha stands tall amongst the best tourist spots in Kerala. The reason isn’t difficult to fathom once you’ve witnessed the flawless beauty here. Often called the ‘Venice of the East’ owing to its serpentine network of canals and backwaters, Alleppey has grown from being a small town in Kerala to one of its biggest attractions. Much talked about, and not without reason, are the resplendent backwaters of Alleppey. Alleppey is known for its wellness therapies, which include Ayurvedic massages and spas. A day at one of these spas works like magic on your body and spirit, ridding you of tension and negative energy. Check in to the Houseboat and enjoy the rest of the day in Houseboat. Allepey Houseboat: One of the must-do things in Alleppey is to board one of the many magnificent houseboats and go on a cruise of utter pleasure and romance. The exotic backwaters and inland waterways in and around Alleppey provide for some of the most romantic moments. Day 6 Alleppey - Kovalam

Meals: Breakfast After breakfast, check-out from the houseboat from allepey and drive to Kovalam. .Kovalam is a beach town on the Arabian Sea in Kerala. Kovalam has three crescent shaped beaches separated by rocky outcroppings. The shallow waters stretching for hundreds of metres are ideal for swimming. The beaches have steep palm covered headlands and are lined with shops that offer all kinds of goods and services. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax.Visit Kovalam light house beach and Samudra beach, Return back to the hotel. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel after a hearty dinner.

Day 7 Kovalam

Meals: Breakfast Today go for Trivandrum City tour which includes Padmananhaswamy temple, Horse Palace, Napier Museum, Zoo and the Srichitra Art Gallery. Later drive back to the hotel and have a great evening at the beach.

Day 8 Kovalam - Kanyakumari

Meals: Breakfast After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari (approximately 87 kilometres). Visit Kumari Amman Temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Gandhi Mandapam Also witness the beautiful statue of Tiruvalluvar and the meeting point of Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. Return to Kovalam by evening. (The non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the temple. The temple opens from 0430 hours to 1130 hours in the morning and from 1730 hours to 2030 hours in the evening.) In the evening,. Return to your hotel and spend time at your own leisure. Enjoy a hearty meal and retire for the night comfortably.

Day 9 Kanyakumari- Rameshwaram

Meals: Breakfast Today check out of your hotel and drive all the way to Rameshwaram. Upon arrival in Rameshwaram, check in to your hotel and visit Sri Ramanathaswami temple. This temple has 22 holy springs which are believed to have medicinal properties. After darshan, visit the Ghanthamathana Parvatham. From here, one can get a fine view of the island.Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 Rameshwaram- Madurai Departure

Meals: Breakfast Today check out of your hotel and drive all the way to Madurai.Visit the Meenakshi temple - one of the biggest temple complexes in India. It is an ancient centre of worship as well as an art gallery of vast proportions. Later, Drive all the way to AIRPORT, for your return journey from airport/railway station.
