Day 1 Leh

Arrive at Leh airport, Kushok Bakula Rinpoche, via a morning flight, experiencing one of the world's most sensational flights. On a clear day, catch breathtaking views of peaks like K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum. Upon arrival, our team will transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to settle in and acclimatize to the high altitude, as Leh sits over 11,000 feet above sea level.

In the afternoon, explore Leh's vibrant culture and heritage by visiting Leh Market, Leh Palace, and the serene Shanti Stupa. These iconic landmarks offer a glimpse into the city's rich history and spiritual essence. After a day of discovery, retire for a comfortable overnight stay in Leh, ready for the adventures that await.

Day 2 Leh Local (Sham Valley)

Visit the Magnetic Hill, where the natural phenomenon creates an optical illusion of vehicles moving uphill against gravity. Next, pay your respects at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a Sikh shrine nestled amidst scenic mountains. Then, journey to the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers, known as Sangam, where the two distinct rivers merge in a breathtaking display of natural beauty.

Day 3 Leh -Nubra Valley

Distance: 125 km, with an estimated travel time of 5-6 hours.

After an early breakfast, embark on a memorable journey to Nubra Valley, situated 125 km from Leh. Traverse the legendary Khardungla Pass, known as the highest motorable road in the world, towering at an altitude of 5602 meters.

Upon reaching Nubra, immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the Sand dunes at Hunder. Indulge in optional activities like camel rides, Cultural Dance Shows, and ATV rides (at your own cost) to enhance your experience.

If time permits, visit the iconic Diskit Monastery, offering insights into the region's rich cultural and religious heritage.

Day 4 Hunder - Turtuk - Hunder

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Turtuk, a village that was opened for tourists for the first time since 2010. This village holds significant historical importance, as it was captured by the Indian Army during the 1971 war with Pakistan.

Explore the quaint village of Turtuk, soaking in its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. Witness the unique lifestyle and traditions of the Balti people, who inhabit this remote region.

Later, return to Hunder and spend the night, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Nubra Valley.

Day 5 Nubra - Pangong via Shyok

Distance: 150 km, with an estimated travel time of 6-7 hours.

We'll start the day by retracing our route towards Leh until we reach Khalsar. From there, we'll cross the Agyam bridge and veer left towards the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. While the road after Shyok may be steep, it offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the picturesque Shyok river.

After Durbuk, we'll turn left towards Tangtse and continue along the traditional route towards Pangong Lake, famously known as the 3 Idiot Shooting Point. Situated on the Indo-China border, Pangong Lake is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and changing colors, ranging from shades of blue to green to red.

Enjoy the mesmerizing scenery of the lake, with the Shyok river on one side and towering mountains on the other. Featured in iconic Bollywood movies like 3 Idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Pangong Lake is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in India.

Spend the night at a campsite near Pangong Lake, surrounded by the tranquility of the Himalayas, and cherish the unforgettable moments created amidst this natural wonder.

Day 6 Pangong Lake - Leh

Distance: 155 km, with an estimated travel time of 5-6 hours.

In the morning, wake up to the serene beauty of Pangong Lake and savor a delightful breakfast by its picturesque shores. As you bid farewell to this stunning destination, embark on your journey back to Leh. Pass through the charming villages of Durbuk, Tangtse, and many more, soaking in the scenic vistas and local culture along the way. Make a short halt at Changla Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, to enjoy a refreshing cup of hot tea amidst the breathtaking Himalayan landscape.

Continue your drive back to Leh and arrive in the city by evening. Spend the night in Leh, reflecting on the incredible experiences and memories created during your adventure to Pangong Lake.

Day 7 Leh
